James Warren “Jimmy” Cook

James Warren “Jimmy” Cook, 75, of Pulaski, Va., formally of Draper, Va., passed away Monday, Oct. 28, 2019.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Lizzie Cook; brother, Jack of Draper, Va.; and a sister and brother-in-law, Louise and Benny Frazier of Wytheville, Va.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 57 years, Janie Midkiff Cook; son, Eddie Cook; daughters and sons-in-law, Michelle and Jeff Porterfield, and Lori Jeanne and Tony Gallimore; grandchildren and their spouses, Sarah Kate and Clinton Martin, and Matthew and Brittany Gallimore; great-grandchild, Zakkary Gallimore; beloved brothers-in-law, Wendell Johnston and Tommy Midkiff, both of Staffordsville, Va.; sister, Linda Monday of Wytheville, Va.; brother, Billy Cook of Wytheville, Va.; lifelong friend, Kermit Sayers, and many other relatives and friends.

There will be a reception and Celebration of Life at 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 2, followed by a song service at Pulaski Presbyterian Church, 975 Memorial Drive, Pulaski, Va.

In lieu of flowers, any expressions of sympathy may be given as a love offering to Fairview Home, 5140 Hatcher Road, Dublin, VA 24084.
