Ken Seefeld

Ken Seefeld passed away on Oct. 18, 2022, at the age of 89.  He was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He graduated from Lawrence University in 1956 with a B.S. degree. He graduated from the Wisconsin Institute of Mortuary Science in 1966.  

Ken was employed by the Wisconsin Bell Telephone Co. from 1956-1966. After graduating from the mortuary science school, he joined Seefeld Funeral Chapels, becoming president and retiring after 26 years.

Ken and his wife Shirley moved to St. George, Utah, in 1994, and he was associated with Wilderness Log Homes of Plymouth, Wisconsin, and Anderson Lumber of St. George, selling and building log homes. He built his log home and a Parade of Homes house in Bloomington Hills prior to moving to Sun River in 2006.

While in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, Ken was a member of the Oshkosh Rotary Club, Kiwanis Club and Oshkosh Area Chamber of Commerce. He also was elected to the Winnebago County Board and the Oshkosh Area School Board. He was active in the Miss Wisconsin Pageant for 17 years. His Masonic affiliations included Master Mason, Scottish Rite, York Rite and Shrine.

Ken was a member of Good Shepherd Presbyterian Church. He has been a member of the St. George Rotary Club and a volunteer at the Huntsman World Senior Games and the Chamber of Commerce and was a neighborhood representative in Sun River.

Ken Seefeld is survived by his wife  Shirley, and his son Doug (Cindy) of Prescott, Arizona, daughter-in-law Nancy of Spokane, Washington, and two grandchildren, Kenley and Gunnar. He was preceded in death by his son David and his parents Milton and Margaret Seefeld.

Private services were held for family.
