Ann Louise Williams Willett

Ann Louise Williams Willett, age 88, passed away peacefully of natural causes on Aug. 26, 2022, in San Jose, California.  Ann was born on Jan. 29, 1934, in Detroit, Michigan, to Joseph Williams and Helen Williams. 

When Ann was a teenager her family moved to Pasadena, California.  She graduated from Pasadena High School and also earned an Associate’s Degree from Pasadena Jr. College. Ann was very beautiful young woman and was a proud princess in the Rose Bowl Parade. She met her future husband, Clifford Leo Willett, while filling up her car with gasoline.  He was working at his brother’s (Arnie) gas station in Pasadena, and they  married soon after. They loved to boat and fish on the Colorado River and were avid golfers, and golfed together regularly.  

Ann was known to be an excellent seamstress and always made quilts, dolls and crafts for the family.  She worked for Luters Orthopedics for over 25 years, was excellent in her profession and valued by her patients. Ann and Cliff’s marriage was blessed with three daughters and they lived in Pasadena, Monrovia and San Bernardino. When the girls finished school, she and Cliff moved to Victorville, California, and loved their time there until Cliff passed away.  Ann then resided with her daughters in San Bernardino and San Jose.  

Ann will be missed greatly by her family, but there is peace in knowing that she will be reunited with Cliff, her very best friend and sister Nina, and her brothers Joe and Kenny.  Her final resting place will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Glendale, California, with her husband Cliff, and the view of looking out towards her parents and the rest of her family. 

Ann is proceeded in death by her parents, brothers and sister, and her husband. Surviving are her daughters and their spouses; Lizzi Ann Cowdin (Buck) of St. George, Utah; Cynthia Inman (Kent) of San Jose, California; Kathryn Saldecke (Patrick) of Arkansas,  together with 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

The family would like to thank the staff and professionals with Hospice for treating their mom with respect and dignity in her passing. They will have a private ceremony celebrating her life on Thursday Sept. 15. Interment will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery in California.
