Victoria “Vicki” Culliney

Vicki (Victoria) Culliney, a resident of West Chester, passed away peacefully on July 11, 2020 following a long illness. She was 74 years old.

Born in Brooklyn, New York, Vicki was the daughter of the late Margaret Martino and Victor Cutillo.

Known to many as Mimi, she was a selfless person who took care of her family and always placed others above herself. As a volunteer for the Girl Scouts, she created the Huntfield Service Unit and was a troop leader for over 10 years. Perhaps the highlight of her Girl Scout career occurred as the girls in her troop got older and she had the opportunity to take these girls on trips to Arizona, Tennessee, Hawaii and even a Caribbean cruise. Vicki loved to travel, taking family trips for many years to Hawaii. Her adventurous spirit also enabled her to move every two years to support her husband, Mike’s career. Living in New Jersey, South East Pennsylvania, North East Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Massachusetts, Illinois, Ohio, and returning to Pennsylvania one more time in 1988. Upon their return to Chester county Vicki and Michael settled in West Chester and were members of Radley Run Country Club for 29 years.

Of late, her favorite place to go was Crisfield, Maryland. A sleepy little town on the lower Eastern Shore of the Chesapeake Bay, she enjoyed going there. Known to all as her “Happy Place” you could always count on her sharing a sunset picture from her balcony at night.

Vicki loved to go shopping. Whether it was the outlets in Lancaster or the little mom and pop shops in Crisfield, Maryland, she could always find something special. Her favorite time of year was the Christmas Holiday Season. She enjoyed shopping all year to prepare and often surprised her family with early Christmas gifts because she was just too excited to wait. Her family will miss her unconditional love and generous spirit.

Vicki is survived by her husband of 53 years, Michael: two daughters, Erin McQuiston (Dave) of West Chester and Mychal Brown (Bill) of Kennett Square, her four grandsons David and Michael McQuiston and Cameron and Logan Brown, and her beloved her grand dogs: Zoey, Cooper and Daisy.

In addition, she leaves a sister, Roseanne Ignatius of Brick, NJ and two brothers Ed Cutillo of Lancaster, PA and Cal Cutillo of Dickson, TN.

Services for Vicki will be held privately. A public celebration of life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Chester County Hospital Foundation. The family asks that you designate your donation to the Abramson Cancer Center at Chester County Hospital.
