Wilma J. Conley, age 81, of Butler, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, September 11, 2019 at the Laurels of Mount Vernon. She was born on August 6, 1938 in Mount Vernon, Ohio, the daughter of James and Violet (Atkins) Gullett. Wilma was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene.
Wilma was a devoted and loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She cherished the time she spent with her family, whether it was a picnic, a birthday party, or a gospel music concert. Wilma always enjoyed being surrounded by her family.
She is survived by her husband of 15 years, Chester Conley, her children, Brenda (Tim) Poole of Mount Vernon, Tim Hauger of Mansfield, Mark (Lisa) Hauger of Pagosa Springs, Colorado and CJ (Joy) Conley of Mansfield, twelve grandchildren, a great grandson, a sister, Joan (Dwight) Stryker of Mount Gilead and lifelong friends Dick and Linda White.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, John Hauger, a sister, Patricia Gullett, and a brother, David Gullett.
Friends may call on Monday from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home, 201 Newark Road, Mount Vernon, Ohio 43050 where a funeral service will begin at 6 p.m. Pastor Dwight Stryker will be officiating. A private burial will take place at a later date.
