William Patrick Jayjohn

On the morning of August 23, 2020, William Patrick Jayjohn (Bill) went home to be with the Lord. He spent his last days peacefully at home, surrounded by his family and those he touched in a small way throughout his memorable life.

Bill was born April 5, 1942 to Emmet Edward (Ted) and Ethel Francis Jayjohn of Columbus, Ohio. He married the love of his life Dianna Lea (Dee) Jayjohn on April 7, 1963. The two settled down in Centerburg, OH where they raised their four children.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend to many. His uncanny ability to brighten a room whether through a smile, song or a little two step (more like a jig) will be missed by all. He was a faithful Christian and a member of the freemasons. Bill loved his Ohio State Buckeyes (upset about no season until his last breath), the Cleveland Browns and enjoyed being on the golf course.

Bill was survived by his wife, Dianna (Dee) Jayjohn, his three sons Pat (Lisa) Jayjohn, Wesley Jayjohn, Don (Donna) Jayjohn , his daughter Tammy (Todd) Hawkins, his sister Barbara Chesson, 8 grandchildren Brandt (Nicole) Hawkins, Brynn (Justin) May, Bryee (Ryan) Guisinger, Christian Jayjohn, Erinn Jayjohn, Brody Jayjohn, Kayley (Josh) Mikulec, Emily Jayjohn, 6 great-grandchildren Aidin, Austin, Asher, Brezlynn, Zyran and Hudson. Bill was also survived by many nieces, nephews, friends and special friend Jerry Looker.

Bill was preceded in death by parents Emmet and Ethel Jayjohn, sisters and brother in laws Liz and Frank Glover, Shirley and Josh Randall, and brothers and sister in laws Richard and Patty Jayjohn and Tom and Mary Jayjohn and brother in law Doug Chesson.

A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
