Wanda J. Watkins

LEXINGTON: Wanda J. Watkins, 85, of Lexington passed away Saturday, October 24, 2020 at OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital following a brief illness.

The daughter of Herbert Harden Sr. and Ethel (Kehrwecker) Harden, Wanda was born November 21, 1934 in Mt. Gilead.

She worked at Stevens Manufacturing and later at Value City.

Wanda was a big WWE wrestling fan, often telling her family that she needed to get home to watch that evening’s matches.  She also collected dolls.  Wanda cherished and adored her grandchildren.  They brought her such great joy.  A loving and devoted wife, mom and grandma, she will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her daughters Cathy Miller of Lexington and Julie (Rex) Jordan of Marion; 6 grandchildren, Michael Miller, Eric Miller, Victoria Miller, Jeremiah Jordan, Sandy Watkins, and Jeff Watkins; 13 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; siblings Thelma Harmon, Velma (Tom) Allen, and Herbert Harden, Jr.; numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband Oren Watkins; son David Watkins; grandson David Miller; siblings Paul Harden, Eleanor Southerland, and Spencer Harden.

Her family will receive friends Wednesday, November 11, 2020 from 12 pm – 2 pm in the Lexington Avenue Snyder Funeral Home where her funeral will begin at 2 pm.  Celebrant Dave Roberts will speak and burial will follow in Lexington Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to assist her family with funeral expenses.  Please make checks payable to Snyder Funeral Homes.
