Violet Blevins Stanley

Violet Blevins-Stanley 73, of Delaware passed away unexpectedly Thursday afternoon, October 29, 2020 at Grady Memorial Hospital, Surrounded by her loving family.

Born November 13, 1946 in Logan West Virginia, the daughter of the late Samuel E & Dixie (Banks) Blevins. Violet earned her GED and would go on to become a teacher’s aide for the JVS in Delaware County. She also worked at Blevins Appliance Company before it went out of business.

Violet is preceded in death by her parents, brothers Samuel and Virgil Blevins, and son John Kitchen.

She is survived by her husband Michael Stanley of 21 years; children Bradley Kitchen, Michael Stanley, Lori Kitchen, Jenny Stanley, Kimmy Stanley, Debbi Stanley; 17 grandchildren and three great-grandchild; brother Brad Blevins; sister Betty Blevins.

Violet enjoyed doing puzzles, watching western movies, playing card games, and tent camping and sitting by a campfire. Violet will be remembered as the caring, loving, and honest, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother that she was.
