Vernessa Vera Grant

Vernessa Vera Grant, 62 of Delaware, OH passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at Mount Carmel St. Ann’s Hospital in Westerville, OH.

Born May 27, 1958 in Flint Michigan, the daughter of Marvin & Bulah (Lewis) Grant. Vernessa graduated from Flint Northwestern High School and would go on to get her Bachelor’s Degree from Spring Arbor College. She worked for the State of Michigan as an Office Coordinator before her retirement. Vernessa was a member of the Pentecostal Tabernacle Church in Flint, Michigan.

Vernessa was preceded in death by a granddaughter Donyé M. Grant in 2004 and special friend R.B. Jones.

Left to cherish her memory are her parents Marvin & Bulah (Lewis) Grant, sons Marneé ( Laquana) and Donyél (Arielle) Grant; grandchildren Klaire and Alivia Grant, Joshua A. Britt, Cameron E. Lewis, Tristan A. Lovell, Amiah J. Ball, Ava D. Ball, Alexa N. Lovell, and Donyel ER. Grant II; brother Donald Grant; sister in-law Deborah Fisher-Grant; nephew Donald Grant II. Goddaughter Monica Thompson.

Vernessa’s greatest achievement in life was the family that she raised. Raising her sons to be the men that they are today. Vernessa also enjoyed singing around the house, loved to go shopping, and fashion, she also loved to accessorize with jewelry. Her sons and those close to her will remember her as the grateful, loving, and blessed individual that she was.

Memorial services will be held at a later date in Flint, Michigan
