Shannon “Pearlie” Pearl

Shannon Edward “Pearlie” Pearl, age 49, passed away May 15, 2019 in his Mansfield home due to natural causes.

He was born August 15, 1969 in Mansfield to parents Keith Edward “Harkey” “Eddie” Pearl and Mary (Zapp) Pearl Lowe. Pearlie graduated from Tarpon Springs High School in Florida and recently earned his associate’s degree in accounting and was working toward his bachelor’s degree with only one class left. He was a bartender at The Olympic Lounge.

A sports genius, Pearlie could tell you just about anything having to do with sports—especially the Indians. He played baseball, football, golf, and softball; he was a pitcher just like his dad. Pearlie was a film buff and had seen thousands of movies. He made everybody laugh all the time and was often told that he should have been a comedian. Pearlie had hundreds of friends and will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his mother Mary Lowe (Harold Tedrow) of Bellville; a son Tyler Rathburn of Palm Harbor, FL; sisters Jennie Pearl of Holiday, FL, Crickett Pearl of Mansfield, and Amber Pearl of Mansfield; nieces and nephews Justin Pearl Morakis, Autumn Pearl, Thaedan Pearl, Ahja Pearl, Hunter Bryant, Strive Pearl, Christopher Jones II, Mirage Pearl Jones, Ceasar Jones, and Alayja Pearl.

In addition to his father Eddie Pearl, Pearlie was preceded in death by a niece Nevaeh Pearl.

A memorial service will be held at a later date, please contact his family for more details. His final resting place will be in Bellville Cemetery.
