Ronald Ray Johnson, 67, of Canal Winchester, died on Tuesday, January 12, 2016.
Born on April 19, 1948 to the late Robert and Betty Johnson, Ronald was a 1966 graduate of New Lexington High School. He worked for Lucent Technologies and retired after 34 years of service. He also worked as a part-time security guard for Allied-Barton and Securitas through Alcatel-Lucent. Ronald loved spending time outdoors and was an avid hunter. Above all, he loved babysitting his grandson, Colton.
Ronald is survived by his high school sweetheart, wife of nearly 48 years, Nancy; children, Troy Johnson, Misty (Derek Fannin) Johnson, and Derrick (Erin) Johnson; grandchildren, Lauren Johnson and Colton Ronald Johnson; sisters, Scarlett (Fred) Mower, Linda (Jim) Dishon, Beth VonBargen, Diane (Terry) Dodson; brothers-in-law, Kenneth (Bettie) Adcock and Richard Adcock; and many nieces, nephews, and good friends.
Ronald was preceded in death by his in-laws, Willis and Helen Adcock; and his sister-in-law, Nancy Adcock.
Friends may visit from 2-5 p.m. on Sunday at the DWAYNE R. SPENCE FUNERAL HOME, 550 Hill Rd. N., Pickerington, OH 43147, where a funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday.
Interment at Friendship Methodist Cemetery in Perry County.
