Roger D. Ruhe

Roger D. Ruhe, 80, of Crestline, passed away on Wednesday, November 10, 2021, at his residence.

Roger was born in Crestline on June 11, 1941, to the late Rudolph and Elizabeth (Kahler) Ruhe.

Roger graduated from Crestline High School, Class of 1959.  He worked for over thirty years as a welder and retired from the County Highway Department as a truck driver.  Roger was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie #859, and VFW Post 2920, all in Crestline.  He was a benefactor member of the National Rifle Association.  Roger felt his biggest accomplishment was donating nineteen gallons of blood to the American Red Cross. He enjoyed turtle hunting and driving up to Lake Erie.

Roger is survived by his two sons, Bret Ruhe of Galion and Brian (Brandi) Ruhe of Crestline; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Roger was preceded in death by his two brothers, Robert Ruhe and Albert Ruhe.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, November 12, 2021, at 10:30 AM with Fr. Jeff Smith officiating in St. Joseph Cemetery, Crestline.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic School in Crestline, in care of the funeral home.
