Robert Paul Cox, age 84, of Bucyrus passed away November 11, 2021, surrounded by family. Robert was born on September 12, 1937, in Gandeeville, West Virginia to the late Howard and Goldie (Roades) Cox. Robert is preceded in death by parents, brothers, Lora (Rocky) Cox, Raymond Cox, Edward Cox, Mayford Cox, Harold Cox; son-in-law, Mitchell Riley; granddaughter, Shelby Cox.
Robert is survived by his wife of 60 years, Billie Faye (Lewis) Cox; children, Cindy (Dave) Sabo, Christina (Mitch) Riley, Robert Jr. (Renae) Cox, T. Michael (Lora) Cox all of Bucyrus; brothers, Earnest (Jean) Cox, Richard Cox; sisters, Alice Cox, Loraine Cox, and Rita McCoun all of West Virginia; sisters-in-laws, Brenda Again and Pam Lewis; 9 grandchildren, Jeremy (Melissa) Bloomfield, Brian (Heather) Bloomfield, Timothy (Ashley) Crawford, Adam (Ashley Phillips) Cox, Jared (Jace Swingle) Cox, Rachel Cox, Mitchell (Natasha) Cox, Kyle Cox, Britt (Kim Agler) Cox; 14 great-grandchildren, Makalia, Christian, Brianna, Brian Jr., Tavis, Maryann, Abbi, Erik, Emma, Ethan, Finlee, Alisa, Joslyn, Cooper; 2 great-great-grandchildren, Madelynn and Lincoln; also his friends and hunting buddies, Brett Ridge and Harold Nelson.
Robert worked at Crawford Steel for many years. Then he worked at Home Sheet Metal, where he was a Co-Owner with Terry Barney. Some of Robert’s favorite pastimes were hunting, gardening, and watching his grandchildren playing sports and other activities. He will be deeply missed.
