Robert H. Osborne, age 73, a resident of Newton, Ala., and previously a longtime Geauga County resident, passed away April 4, 2021.
Bob was born in Chardon, on Dec. 17, 1947, to Nelson and Sophie (nee Korpowski) Osborne, of Hambden Township. He graduated from Chardon High School in 1965, and lived in Burton for many years, where he raised his girls and worked for the Chardon Lumber Company.
Later in life, he moved south to pursue a career in the x-ray field and retired to Alabama with his wife, Judy (nee McKnight) Osborne, of 28 years.
He was the loving father of Jeanne Osborne-Felberg (Lynn Felberg), Amy Cherry and Wendy Kertesz; devoted grandfather of Mouhamad and Amanie Cherry, James and Joey Kertesz; treasured brother of William Osborne (wife, Nancy) and Gary Osborne; brother-in-laws, Phillip McKnight (Linda), Milton McKnight (Kay); and sister-in-law, June Russell.
He was uncle to beloved nieces and nephews. He also survived by his canine companions, Precious and Baby.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Nelson Irwin Osborne and Sophie Osborne; also his mother and father-in-law, Perry and Wanda McKnight.
Bob was a longtime member of the Burton Jaycees and love to play in summer softball leagues at the Eagles club, He loved to fish, garden, work in his wood shop, travel and ride his motorcycle. His family was his greatest pride and joy.
A private memorial service will be held by the family.
