Richard P. Stith

CLARIDON TWP. – Richard P. Stith, age 64, of Claridon Township, died at his home on Sept. 15, 2020, surrounded by his loving family.

Born Aug. 11, 1956, to Kenneth Stith and Carol (nee Lafferty) Boner, he was an area resident since 1977.

Rich loved horses, enjoyed sports, nature, especially birds, and was an avid Ohio State Buckeyes fan.

Rich proudly served in the U.S. Army, stationed in Thailand, during the Vietnam War.

His greatest joy was spending time with his children and granddaughter.

Survivors include his wife, Bari Oyler Stith, PhD., whom he married in 1977; daughter, Amanda (Doug) Pavlowsky; of Pittsburgh; son Cpl. Jason Stith, U.S. Marine Corps, North Carolina; and granddaughter, Sophie Pavlowsky.

Rich also leaves his mother; and siblings, Sheri Susaeta and Eric Stith.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Graveside service will be held at East Claridon Cemetery, 12545 Old State Road, Claridon, on Saturday, Sept. 19, 2020, at 1 p.m.
