Ray E. Walker

MIDDLEFIELD – Ray E. Walker, age 89, of Middlefield passed away Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2021, at The Western Reserve Hospice House in Euclid.

He was born March 18, 1932, in Cleveland, son of the late Stanley and Bernice (nee Rettig) Walker.

Ray is survived by his beloved wife, Carole (nee Weiss) Walker; his loving children, Mark (Renee), Susan (Kevin) Meere, Paul, Elizabeth (Terje) Gewelt, David (Mona); stepchildren, Jeff (Tina) Carpenter, Dawn (Dennis) Swatowski; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and many relatives and friends

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Marjorie Marek.

Ray graduated from Solon High School and attended Bowling Green State University. He served proudly in the U.S. Army, White Sands, New Mexico, during the Korean Conflict.

Ray retired from Ohio Bell Telephone Co.

At Ray’s request, no calling hours will be observed.
