Randy G. Shifflet

Randy G. Shifflet, age 63 of Marion, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, April 17, 2021.

Randy was born October 31, 1957 in Marion, the son of Glenn Webster and Barbara Lee (Pinkerton) Shifflet. He graduated from Harding High School.

Randy was larger than life and a force to be reckoned with. His “Just Sayin!!!!!!” outlook would easily bring a laugh and a smile. He was quick with a story and wanted to know what was going on with you. He knew the value of a moment and he made the most of them by being surrounded with family and friends. Entertaining friends at the house on the weekend, with racks of ribs that had been smoked all day, was pure happiness for Randy. Kicking back with a good cigar and a glass of bourbon on the rocks was his way of unwinding after a long week of dedicated service driving his truck for Wal-Mart. His integrity and work ethic were unmatched.

Randy enjoyed vacationing with his wife, Jennifer. No matter where he went he never knew a stranger, it didn’t matter who was sitting by him they were going to get to know Randy. He loved cheering on the Buckeyes and above all he was most proud of his family.

He will forever be cherished by his devoted wife, Jennifer Lynn Shifflet; sons: Nathan (Mel) Shifflet and Anthony Shifflet; step-daughters: Jordan and Lindsey Siler; “Poppy” to: Izik, Korbin, and Addison Shifflet, Lennox Backus, Lawson, Lou, and Noa Shifflet and Parker and Sophia Rudd; also surviving are his mother Barbara Shifflet; brother Dann Shifflet and too many friends to count.

Visitation will be Thursday, April 22, 2021 at Snyder Funeral Homes, Denzer Chapel, 360 East Center St., Marion from 4PM to 7PM; A celebration of Randy’s life will be Friday at the funeral home at 10AM.

Randy was a champion for “Wal-Mart Heart” a charity that benefits sick children through different events such as “Touch-A-Truck” and “Honorary Driver” programs. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Randy’s honor to this worthwhile charity.
