Patricia Gay Riley

LAKEWOOD, OH – Patricia Gay Riley, 90, of Lakewood, Ohio, formerly of Burton, went home to her Father in heaven on Jan. 31, 2021, after a long illness.

Patricia was born on May 4, 1930, to Joseph and Annagayle Heibert, in Badin, Pa. She graduated from Baldwin High School, in Pittsburgh, where she was a cheerleader and member of the student council. She also was the runner-up to Miss Western Pennsylvania in 1947, and once had a contract with the Ice Capades.

She has been a member of King’s Church in Lakewood, where she loved to sing worship songs to her Lord … hands held high!

Pat pursued a career in nursing and, on retirement, enjoyed traveling, cruises and gambling junkets.

Her main joy in life, however, was spending time with her loving family.

She is survived by her sisters, Margaret Stewart and Michaela Stofey (Bill); and children, Arthur Devlin Jr. (Patricia), Barbara Catron (Earl), Michael Devlin, Margaret Hoff (Richard), Patricia Rossett (Greg) and Mary Beth Riley. She is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will miss her dearly.

She is predeceased by her loving husband, John; brother, Joseph Heibert; and her parents.

A very special thank you to the entire staff at Ennis Court Skilled Nursing Care in Lakewood, where they cared for her like she was their family member. Our family is so very grateful she spent the last months under Covid-19 quarantine with all those that loved her at Ennis Court. We cannot thank you enough.

Due to Covid-19 a memorial service will be set for a later date.

Memorial Contributions may be made in Pat’s memory to Ennis Court Skilled Nursing Care 13315 Detroit Ave., Lakewood, OH 44107.
