Patricia Ann Howson

CHARDON – Patricia Ann Howson (nee Ianiro), age 64, of Chardon, passed away peacefully, with her family by her side, on the morning of Nov. 12, 2021.

She was the daughter of the late Raymond and Barbara Ianiro.

Loving wife to the late Jeffrey Howson for 36 years. We find comfort in knowing that they are together again.

Pat was a 1974 graduate of Chardon High School and attended Kent State University.

She worked for many years as an auditor for the state of Ohio. She was well liked and respected by her co-workers and thoroughly enjoyed her job.

Pat was a lover of words and would often be found working on a crossword puzzle, while drinking her morning coffee. She also enjoyed trips with her husband to Canada, playing cards with friends and family, watching General Hospital and all Cleveland sports.

Pat cherished Christmas and took great pride in making it the most magical time of the year for her children and later her grandchildren.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Michelle (Scott) Nelson, Jonathan Howson, Rachael (Kyle) Korensek, Tiffanie (Virgil) Petty, Tim Howson and “special daughter” Rachel (Chris) Istenes; and grandchildren, Zoe, Gianna, Rylee, Caleb, Emily, Alanna, Quinn, Sienna, Jocelynn, Megan, Austin, Greyson, and Cody.

She also leaves behind her mother, Barbara Ianiro; brother, Michael Ianiro; niece and nephew, Amelia and Tanner; along with lifelong friend Helen Wilson.

Family will receive guests from 3:30-5:30 p.m. on Dec. 11, 2021, at Munson Town Hall, 12210 Auburn Road.

A private graveside service will be held at Chardon Municipal Cemetery.

Donations can be made in Patricia’s memory to Chardon Public Library.
