Mitchell M. Davis, 33, of Mt. Gilead, passed away Thursday, October 11, 2018 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Mitch was born in Bucyrus, Ohio on January 21, 1985 to Michael (Sue) Davis of Bucyrus and Jill R. Clinger (mother) of Bucyrus. He married Lydia E. Van Hoose Davis and she survives him, they had been together for 10 years.
Mitch was graduate of the Bucyrus High School, Class of 2003. He was currently a manager at the Old 30 Barbecue and had managed Bakers Pizza in Bucyrus. He had also worked at Starbucks. Mitch was fun loving and free spirited, and he always wanted to be the best at everything he did. Mitch was very talented in riding dirt bikes. He has 2 four stroke championship titles racing Motocross. He enjoyed being with his family riding dirt bikes every chance possible. The greatest love of Mitch was being with all his family, especially spending time with his wife at home and cooking breakfast for Arthur who meant the world to Mitch. Mitch was a very hard worker and all of Mitch’s family was very proud of him and all his accomplishments.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his two sons, Brighton and Arthur; brother, Heath (Mikayla Carroll) Davis of Crestline; niece, Alaina Davis; brother, Kevin Davis of Bucyrus; In-laws, Karen and Al Cole of Galion.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Harold F. and Ola Jacqueline Davis; maternal grandparents, Vanita K. (Vaughn) and Allan R. Clinger.
Friends may call Tuesday, October 16, 2018 from 4:00 pm -7:00 pm at the Schneider-Gompf Funeral Home, 303 Portland Way North, Galion. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at Schneider-Gompf Funeral Home, Galion. Burial will take place in Iberia Cemetery, Iberia.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of the funeral home to help defray the cost of funeral expenses.
