Lucille Miller

MONTVILLE TWP. – Lucille “Lucy” Miller, age 62, of Montville Township, passed away peacefully at University Hospitals Geauga Medical Center surrounded by her loving family.

Born May 7, 1959, to Amos J. and Marion (nee Schlabach) Miller, at Trumbull Memorial Hospital, Warren, she has been a lifelong area resident, graduating from Cardinal High School in 1977.

Lucy loved refinishing furniture, owning Rustic Rewind in Middlefield for many years.

She had a passion for working with individuals with developmental disabilities having worked at Metzenbaum for 24 years and, most recently, Reese Disability Services.

She always preferred to be behind the camera instead of having her photo taken. Lucy was the most humble, kind and giving person who anyone had ever met. She had a very strong faith in God and claimed Jesus as her Lord and Savior.

Survivors include her life partner of 30 years, Ginny Travers; sister, Becky (Mike) Warner, of Concord Township; stepsisters, Julie (Kurt) Huffman, of Colorado, Jodi (Glenn) Travers, of Painesville; brother-in-law, Jeff (Katie) Travers, of Cincinnati; nephews, Joe (Karen) Warner, of Mentor, Rick (Carey) Warner, of Concord, and Joseph (Paige) Travers; nieces, Virginia Travers, of Painesville, Abby Travers, of Georgia, Shelby Travers, of Georgia, and Mary Claire Rothenbush, of Cincinnati.

She also leaves great-nieces and great-nephews, Nathan, Alison, Ethan, Calvin and Mady Warner.

The family will receive friends Jan. 8, 2022, from 9 a.m. to 12 noon, followed by the funeral service at 12 noon, at Burr Funeral Home, 116 South St., Chardon.

Burial will be at Montville Township Cemetery.
