LaVerne Dawn Krueger

LaVerne Dawn Krueger (nee Parsons), age 96, beloved wife of the late Verdun “Duke;” loving mother of William “Terry;” devoted grandmother of Hannah and Hilena; cherished daughter of the late Edward and Loretta (nee Lohrey) Parsons; dearest sister of Shirley Keske and the late Donald Parsons; dear aunt and great-aunt of many.

LaVerne was born on the “dawn” of Sept. 7, 1924, in Cleveland Heights, a graduate from Shaw High School, passed away on Friday, April 9, 2021.

LaVerne and her husband were the original founding members of Chester Christian Center Church and LaVerne has a gathering each week devoted to prayer. She wrote beautiful spiritual poetry and her greatest passion in life was, is, and always will be Jesus, the Creator and Redeemer of her soul.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of LaVerne to Chester Christian Center, 11815 Chillicothe Road, Chesterland, OH 44026.

Celebration of Life Service at 10 a.m. on Thursday, April 15, 2021, at Chester Christian Center Church, 11815 Chillicothe Road, Chesterland.

Entombment following at Western Reserve Memorial Gardens.

Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of LaVerne at The DeJohn Funeral Home & Celebrations Center of Chesterland, 12811 Chillicothe Road, on Wednesday, April 14, 2021, from 5-8 p.m.
