Keith E. “The Beef” Martin

Keith E. “The Beef” Martin, 63, of Galion passed away Sunday, November 7, 2021, at Galion Avita Hospital.

He was born February 11, 1958, in Shelby and was the son of Robert Lee and Carol (Pfleiderer) Martin. Keith married Karman (Utter) Martin on August 17, 2009, but had been together for 23 years.

He graduated from Colonel Crawford High School in 1976 and was a self-employed roofer for over 25 years. Keith was an active member of the Army Navy Garrison 987 of Galion and the AMVETS Post 27 in Bucyrus. He enjoyed auto racing, road trips with friends, playing cards, bowling, watching OSU football and Cleveland Browns, and family time.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his mom, Carol Martin of rural Crestline; brother, Rodney (Sharon Garrison) Martin of Crestline; children, Allison (Erik) Sorensen of Galion, Kyle Martin of Galion, Andrew “A.J.” (Samantha Elswick) Utter of Galion, Justina (Corey) Barth of Shelby, Colt Kelso of Galion and Misuzu Azumu-Utter of Japan; seven grandchildren, Oliver, Scarlett, Arrianna, Corbyn, Carsyn, Brynlee and Ava and numerous, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Keith is preceded in death by his father, Robert Lee Martin.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Thursday, November 11, 2021, at Richardson Davis Chapel of Snyder Funeral Homes, 218 South Market St., Galion, Ohio 44833 where services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, November 11th with Pastor Rick Lewis officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to American Lung Association in care of the funeral home.
