Josiah J. Miller

MIDDLEFIELD TWP. – Josiah J. Miller, 89, of Middlefield Township, passed away peacefully early Monday morning, April 19, 2021, at his home and surrounded by his loving family.

He was born in Windsor, on July 26, 1931, to the late Jeremiah J. and Ada (nee Miller) Miller.

Josiah is once again reunited with his loving wife of 63 years, Anna Mary U. Miller, who died on July 29, 2015. He was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.

He will be missed by his children, Martha Mae (Ervin) Byler, Allen (Kathryn) Miller, Edna (Andy) Fisher, Kathryn (Elmer) Glick, Alta (Eli) Byler, Susan Hershberger, Laura (Joseph) Detweiler; 49 grandchildren; 170 great-grandchildren; three brothers; two sisters; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Josiah is preceded in death by his wife Anna Mary; parents; one grandchild; three great-grandchildren; son-in-law, Vernon Hershberger; one brother; and four sisters.

Funeral Services will be held at 9:30 a.m., Wednesday, April 21, 2021, at 17359 Burton Windsor Road, Middlefield, with Bishop Jonathan A. Miller officiating.

Pallbearers will be Alan Miller, Martin Miller, Chester Miller and Bill Yoder.

Visitation will be anytime until the time of service. Josiah’s final resting place will be in Nauvoo Road Cemetery, Middlefield Township.
