Jim Clark, 72, of Galion and formerly of Mansfield, passed away Friday, January 15, 2021 at Avita Galion Hospital after declining health for the past two years.
Born September 24, 1948 in Mansfield, Ohio, he was the son of Charles E. and Margaret E. (Canfield) Clark. He married Marsha J. (Reber) Clark on May 29, 1974 and she survives.
He was a graduate of Madison High School and worked for 29 years at Ryder Logistics in Mansfield and Columbus. He was an avid classic car enthusiast and enjoyed camping and the outdoors. He and his wife were foster parents for 23 years and fostered over 100 children. Jim’s favorite quote was “Drive a bowtie and Go Bucks.”
In addition to his wife, he is survived by children, Jeni (Carl) Reida of Marengo, Janice (Lenny Blankenship) Clark of Mt. Gilead, Santos Clark at home and Mitch Dreibelbis of England; grandchildren, Kayla (Joe) Schirtzinger, Chase Reida and Joshua Brown; sisters, Darlene Chaffin of Mansfield and Doris Hoffman of Mansfield along with numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by sisters, Garnet and Hazel and brothers Richard, Ted and Carroll.
A private burial and celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to Morrow County Humane Society in care of the funeral home.
