James Richard Wagy, II

James Richard Wagy, II, age 42, of Reynoldsburg, died peacefully after a short illness on Tuesday, February 18, 2020 surrounded by his loving family.

James was a skilled Electrician and enjoyed working on remodeling homes.  He had a huge heart, was very family oriented and when he was needed, he was always there for his family and friends.  Attended Big Walnut High School where he participated on the wrestling and track teams.  James was a WWII history buff, college football fan and loved all animals, especially his German Shepard, Samantha.  James was very proud of his 3 years of sobriety and of being able to help others with their own struggles.  He was most proud of being the primary caretaker for his grandparents, allowing them to be able to remain in their home.

James was preceded in death by his grandparents, Frank and Doris Wagy, Joseph and Dorothy Phillips.

He is survived by his parents, James R. and Rose M. Wagy of Centerburg; sister, Kamryn Kane of Sunbury; brother and sister-in-law, Kevin and Heather Wagy of Sunbury; nephews and niece, Zachary Kane, Madison, Hayden and Aaron Wagy, Parker Wooten; great-niece, Emersyn Kane; aunts and uncles, Frank and Pam Wagy of Upper Sandusky, Jim and Janet Thomas of Colorado Springs, Sandy Igel or Great Falls, MT; cousin, Heather Ebert of Mt. Gilead; other relatives and friends.

Funeral Service will be held at 1 PM on Friday, February 21, 2020 at DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, 637 N. State Route 61, (at SR 3), Sunbury, where the family will be receiving visitors from 11 AM until time of service.  Pastor James Meacham officiating.  Interment Northlawn Memory Gardens.
