George H. Albu

George H. Albu, 76 of Bucyrus passed away on Wednesday, February 10, 2021, at Altercare of Bucyrus.  George was born July 10, 1944, in Ecourse, MI to the late George and Margaret (Evans) Albu.  He was married in 1985 to Charlene K. (Seville) Albu who preceded him in death on Aug. 2, 2020.  George was also preceded in death by brothers Joseph and Tony as well as one sister Nancy Van Devoord.

George is survived by daughter Aimee (John) Vaughn of Russellville, Arkansas; brother Robert (Dawn) Albu of Lorain, OH; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

George lived most of his life in Bucyrus and last worked as a Sheriff Deputy for Crawford County, joining November 1976 and retiring November 1, 1994.  Prior to his work for the Sheriff he worked at the B.P. station on E. Mansfield St.  George was an enthusiast of WWII Military History. George was also a member of the Bucyrus Elks.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday at 2:00 pm in the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home with Rev. Ted Thomas officiating and burial to follow in Oakwood Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until the time of the service.  Expressions of sympathy can be left at www.munzpirnstill.com.
