Edna P. Coy

Edna P. Coy, 82, of Galion passed away Friday, March 26, 2021, at home surrounded by her loving family.

Born May 4, 1938, in Rutland, Ohio, she was the daughter of Howard and Lissa (Hysell) German.

Edna had been a member of the Galion Women of The Moose 177 and Crestline VFW 2920 Ladies Auxiliary. She loved to crochet and watch the Hallmark Channel. Edna especially enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by children Rita “Lynn” Weaver, Carol Lee Coy and Cheryl Coy, all of Galion, Jerry (Trixie) Coy of Willard and Greg (Lisa) Coy of Shelby; grandchildren Karen, Chris, Deserae, Scott, Jamie, Justin, Ashley, Staci, Shelby, and Abbi; numerous great-grandchildren; brother Robert L. (Jody) German of Newark; sister Betty Bowles of Pataskala and sister-in-law Janet German of Langsville.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by brothers Howard “Curt “ German and John German; brother-in-law Jim Bowles and sisters-in-law Evelyn German and Carol German.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday, March 29, 2021, at Richardson Davis Chapel of Snyder Funeral Homes, 218 South Market St., Galion, Ohio 44833 where services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 30, 2021, with Pastor Doug Tackett officiating. Burial will follow at Blooming Grove Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Red Cross, Crawford County Chapter in care of the funeral home.
