Doris Helen Hagen

MANSFIELD: Doris Helen Hagen passed away Monday, January 18, 2021 from Winchester Terrace. She was 93.

She was born November 25, 1927 to parents Herschel & Eula (Best) Kelly in Harwick, Pennsylvania.

Doris obtained her LPN from Passavant Hospital School of Nursing in 1953 and worked as an LPN for over 16 years for Visiting Nurses Association in Pittsburgh until retiring.

She was a member of Resurrection Parish and Daughters of Isabella. She also made it a point to volunteer at the Lexington Senior Center as well as for the Red Cross

In spare time, she took pleasure in doing crossword puzzles and word searches. She was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan always cheering for the Black and Gold. But above all, Doris cherished her family.

She is survived by son Anthony (Diane) Hagen; grandchildren Jaclyn (Andrew) Parkhurst, Tony Hagen and Valerie Hagen; great-grandchildren Conner, Addie and Hagen; nephew Russell Shorts; niece Ann (Dick) Markley as well as numerous other nieces, nephews and extended family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; 1st husband Samuel Karen; 2nd husband Peter Hagen; all her siblings, Merle Kelly, William Kelly, Harry Kelly, Pearl Shorts, Jane Peters and Edgar Kelly.

A memorial mass celebrating Doris’ life will be held Friday, February 12, 2021 at 4 pm in Resurrection Parish. Father Matthew Frisbee will officiate.
