Dolores Mildred Esler

LEXINGTON: Dolores Mildred Esler, 96, of Mansfield passed away Wednesday, September 8, 2021, in Strongsville, surrounded by her loving family.

The daughter of Phillip and Helen (Anderson) Feikert, Dolores was born May 19, 1925 in St. Louis, Missouri.

She married Wilbert A. Esler on May 28, 1949 in Detroit, Michigan.  The two moved to the Mansfield area in the 1950’s.

Generous with her time, Dolores was blessed with a giving spirit.  She was a member at First English Lutheran Church where she served communion and also volunteered in the kitchen, preparing meals.  She enjoyed volunteering for the Red Cross.  Dolores was a “reader” for Lexington Elementary Schools, available to listen as students read.  At one time she was also a Brownie Leader.

Delores was a wonderful homemaker and loving wife and mother.  A fabulous cook and baker, her delicious meals were prepared from scratch.    She made the best homemade cookies, especially Christmas cookies.  Fashionable, Delores dressed impeccable from head to toe.

She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 72 years, Wilbert Esler of Mansfield; daughters Constance Esler and Carolyn Esler; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, and extended family.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her siblings Norma Feikert, Virginia Feikert, and Philip Feikert.

Private graveside services will be held in Lexington Cemetery.  The Lexington Avenue Snyder Funeral Home is honored to serve the Esler family.
