Dolores Bond

Dolores Louise Bond, age 86, passed away Monday, November 26, 2018, from Liberty Nursing Center in Mansfield.

Dee was born February 13, 1932, to parents Ralph & Madge (Wells) Crawford in Olive Hill, Kentucky where she graduated high school. At church, she met a young man named Bobby Joe Bond and though he moved to Indiana and then Ohio, he eventually had to come back to Kentucky to convince her to move to Ohio and be his wife. On November 10, 1951, she and Bobby were married. They shared 67 wonderful years of marriage and together raised two children.

Dee worked as a dedicated wife and mother and created a loving home for her family. She was an excellent gardener who enjoyed flowers and especially loved irises. Dee was also quite crafty and made many quilts and cloth dolls. She was formerly a member of First Baptist Church in Bellville.

Dee will be remembered for being the sweetest woman you would ever meet who was filled with loving kindness and exemplified I Corinthians 13 “Love is patient, love is kind… It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres… Love never fails.” Her friends and family will miss her ever-present smile.

She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Bobby Bond of Bellville; her son Michael Bond and daughter-in-law Lisa Warner Bond of Canton; her daughter and son-in-law Sheri & Bill Myers of Bellville; grandchildren Morgan Taylor Bond, Melanie Johnson, Billie Daley, Jarrad Bond, and Romatt Myers; great-grandchildren Shena and Matt; great-great-grandson Kade; siblings Lorraine, Ruth, Butch, and Katie; along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters Eileen, Geraldine, and Mildred.

Her family will receive friends Wednesday, November 28, 2018, from 11am to 1pm in the Bellville Snyder Funeral Home where a funeral service honoring Dee’s life will begin at 1pm officiated by her nephew Raymond Bond. Burial will follow in Bellville Cemetery.
