Chris M. Stehling, age 57, of Thornville, passed away at OSU hospital on March 18, 2021 with a lifelong companion by his side.
Chris was born on May 14th, 1963 and raised by his loving mother, the late Susan K. Stehling and his grandparents, the late Alden C. and Dorothy Venham, formerly of Westerville, Ohio.
Chris attended Plain Local schools in New Albany, Ohio, K-12.
He became an entrepreneur, known to have auto repair businesses along with a towing company for many years. Later in life he began refurbishing homes and then found his passion for the gun show circuit, where he made many friends.
Chris also enjoyed boating on Buckeye Lake with friends.
His Great Danes meant the world to him. He lost his buddy, Max, last month.
In addition to his mother and grandparents Chris was preceded in death by his brother, Rusty F. Stehling. Rusty will be interred next to Chris at Galena Cemetery in Galena, Ohio during the same graveside service, (Date and time of service to be announced).
Chris is survived by many lifelong friends whose children all knew him as “Uncle Chris”, and they have many cherished memories.
