Charles P. “Pat” Logsdon age 95 of Upper Sandusky, died on Sunday, March 28, 2021, at 10:51 am at his residence surrounded by his family. He was born March 17, 1926 in Carey to Wilfred L. and Emma C. (Reinhart) Logsdon. Pat married Rita M. Niederkohr on April 17, 1947, and they celebrated 73 years of marriage.
Surviving is his wife, Rita of Upper Sandusky, son Michael (Linda) Logsdon of England, daughter Sharon Huffman of Upper Sandusky, grandchildren Melody, Carey, Jessica, Bradley, Michelle, Benjamin, Veronica, 16 great-grandchildren, brother Father Wilfred Logsdon OFM Conv., sister-in-laws Peg Logsdon, Frieda Logsdon, and Mary Lou Logsdon. He was preceded in death by his parents, sons Steven A. Logsdon, Patrick J. Logsdon, daughter Karen A. Logsdon, brothers Eugene, Edmund, James, Harold, Herman, Larry, Joe, and sister Elizabeth Powell.
Pat graduated from Salem High School class of 1944 as Valedictorian and vice president. He served in the US Army Air Corps. He was a retired carpenter from Niederkhor Construction Co. After retirement, he continued his love for carpenter by using his carpenter skills for his family and friends. Pat was an active member of Transfiguration of the Lord Catholic Church and a life member of K of C #2050, BPOE #83, American Legion #225. He enjoyed all sports especially bowling, golfing, and playing hockey. Pat was the best grandpa and enjoyed his grandchildren. Later in his life, you would see him sitting on his front porch enjoying the simple things.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, March 31, 2021, at 11 am in Transfiguration of the Lord Catholic Church with Father Conrad Sutter OFM Conv. officiating. Burial will follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery with military honors being conducted by Upper Sandusky Color Guard. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 30, 2021, from 4 pm-6 pm with a prayer service to follow.
