Tony Ray Cornatzer

MOCKSVILLE – Mr. Tony Ray Cornatzer, 57, of Cedar Grove Church Road, went home to be with Jesus, our Savior on Monday, September 28, 2020, at Rowan Medical Center in Salisbury after a short illness.
He was born on December 30, 1962, in Forsyth County, to Toby Aleece and Ann Gobble Cornatzer of Mocksville.
Tony was a member of Fulton United Methodist Church, retired as a firefighter with Fork Volunteer Fire Department with 20 years of service, and helped with Family Promise of Davie County. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, trucks and tractors, and cooking on the grill. Somehow, the same meal would always taste better the next time it was cooked. He will be remembered as a family-man, for always doing things right, and as a man who touched many lives.
In addition to his parents, survivors include his wife, Laura Cornatzer; children, Amanda Barber (Jodey) and Brandon Cornatzer (Sydney); grandchildren, Tanner Shoffner, Cody Shoffner and soon to be, Raelynn Cornatzer; and his brother, Mike Cornatzer.
A graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m., Saturday, October 3, at Fulton United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Dustin James officiating and firefighter honors. Friends may pay their respects at Eaton Funeral Home beginning Thursday, Oct. 1. Memorials may be considered for Fulton United Methodist Church Building Fund, 3689 NC Hwy. 801 S., Advance, NC 27006.
