John Louis Joseph DelFavero

John Louis Joseph DelFavero of Kernersville, NC, was born on April 3, 1943, in Salem, OH, to Joseph and Frances DelFavero, who preceded him in death. He unexpectedly passed away on November 22, 2018. He was a graduate of Salem High School and Youngstown University and a veteran of the United States Army. He was a man of deep faith and has gone to be with our Lord.

John married the love of his life, Marion DelFavero, whom he lovingly referred to as ‘Moe,’ on July 1, 1980, and became the most caring and devoted husband. They enjoyed traveling together and laughed with each other every single day. His two daughters, Emily DelFavero Mann and Claire DelFavero, were the light of his life, as well as his granddaughters, Avery Claire and London Rai. John considered being a father and a grandfather his two greatest roles. He adored his son in law, Mark Mann, with whom he was very close, and he very much appreciated how well Mark takes care of Emily, Avery, and London. He enjoyed his walks and talks with Cliff Muchler and was looking forward to getting to know Cliff even further. He loved the entire Mann family and was grateful for all of the time he was able to spend with them.

John was an amazing man who deeply loved his family. In addition to Marion, Emily, Claire, Avery, London, and Mark, he leaves behind two sisters, Josephine Genevieve Callatone and Grace Finch, as well as two brothers, William DelFavero and Joseph DelFavero, all of Salem, OH.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking donations be made to Horsepower Therapeutic Learning Center, an organization in which he was heavily involved. The mailing address is 8001 Leabourne Rd., Colfax, NC, 27235 or you may go to their website www.horsepower.com to donate online.

A funeral will be held at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in High Point, NC at 11 a.m., on Friday, November 30, 2018, followed by a burial ceremony at Guilford Memorial Park.
