James Edward “Eddie” Neelley, 76 of Greensboro, North Carolina left on his ultimate journey on Friday, February 12, 2021. The funeral service will be held Friday, February 19, 2021 at 3:00pm at Pleasant Garden Baptist Church. Michael Barrett of Pleasant Garden Baptist Church will be officiating. Burial will follow the funeral at Pleasant Garden Methodist Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Forbis & Dick in Pleasant Garden.
Eddie was born in Baltimore, Maryland on June 19,1944. He graduated from Page High School in Greensboro, NC.
Eddie was married to Patricia Neelley on March 10, 2006; They were married almost 15 years.
Eddie worked and retired from F & H Appliance. He enjoyed spending time at the lake, hunting, fishing, and traveling with family and friends. Growing up, he spent summers with his grandparents in Free Union, VA and forged close friendships with families in that area. He continued to visit regularly and always looked forward to those trips. Eddie is survived by his wife Patricia Neelley, his son, Jeff Neelley and wife Krista of Greensboro, NC, his daughter Michelle Coakley and husband David of Greensboro, NC, stepdaughter Melissa Laskowski and husband Rob of Derby, Connecticut. Also, two granddaughters, Allison Coakley and Ashley Neelley.
Eddie is preceded in death by his parents, Robah and Lucy Neelley.
