Agnes Canoy Blair

Mrs. Agnes Canoy Blair pasased away Monday, August 24, 2020 at Access Personal Care in Houston, TX.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Greensboro, NC. Rev. Veranita Alford, Morehead United Methodist Church will be officiating.
Canoy was born August 6, 1920 in Lumberton, NC. She is the daughter of the late Ira Hannibal and Mary Ann Yourn Weeks and she was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers, Willie Maude Michaux, Mary Frances Roberts, Lillian Hortense Dennis, Carl Weeks and Dudley Weeks. Canoy was married to Marshall Willis Blair for 25 years until his death in September, 1964.
She is survived by two daughters, Vickie Royster, Stoneville, NC and Marsha Ann Luppens (Chris) of Houston, TX ; one Granddaughter and two Grandsons, Kirstin C. Luppens (Chris) of Houston TX, James Royster (Debbie) of Stoneville, NC and Robert Royster of Stoneville, NC; five Great-Grandchildren, Micheal Royster, Winston Salem, NC, David Royster (Josey) Eden, NC, Tori Royster, Mebane, NC, Cassie Royster, Summerfield, NC and Maxwell Raney, Houston TX and host of nieces and nephews.
She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother and enjoyed traveling on tour trips and visiting family members. She worked for Sears Roebuck in Greensboro, NC for 40 years.
She attended Morehead United Methodist Church where she was active in the United Methodist Women and the Joy Fellowship.
Memorial Donations honoring Canoy Blair may be sent to Morehead United Methodist Church, 3214 Horse Pen Creek Rd., Greensboro, NC 27410. The family would like to thank Heart of Texas Hospice for their excellent service.
Funeral home pandemic guidelines will apply and face masks are required to be worn.
