Tom B. Lybarger, 86, of Perryville, died July 4, 2017 at his residence in Perryville.
He was born June 2, 1931 in Hoxie, Kan., son of Thomas Fulton and Geraldine (Summrow) Lybarger.
He had worked for Wagner Electric in St. Louis. He later retired from Perry County Nursing Home after working for 15 years. He was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Crosstown. He was a US Navy veteran of the Korean Conflict.
Survivors include his first wife, Lois Cox-Kopp of Edwardsville, Ill.; second wife, Loretta Sandlin Lybarger of Crosstown; two sons and one daughter, Dennis (Donna) Lybarger of Collinsville, Ill., Cynthia (William) Dorrough of Maryville, IL, Doug (Cory) Lybarger of Merriam, KS; one step-daughter and one step-son, Joy Schaupert of Longtown and Kevin (Karen) Clifton of Perryville; one step-brother, Acie Clifton of Bridgeton, MO; 11 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one step-son-in-law, Dave Schaupert.
Visitation will be held at Young & Sons Funeral Home today from 4-8 p.m. and on Friday from 6:30 to 9:15 a.m. He will then be taken to Bethlehem Baptist Church in Crosstown for service at 11 a.m. with Rev. Craig Petzoldt officiating. Burial in church cemetery with Military honors provided by VFW Post 4282 and Delta Team.
Memorials preferred to Bethlehem Cemetery in Crosstown.
