Lois A. Fritsche

Lois A. Fritsche, 80, of Farrar, died July 3, 2017 at her residence in Farrar.

She was born September 6, 1936 in Hoxie, Kan., daughter of Ernst and Violet (Dimmick) Detjen. She and Leroy Fritsche were married on Oct. 6, 1956. He survives in Farrar.

She had been a housewife. She was a member of Salem Lutheran Church, LWML, and a Sunday school teacher for 45 years, Farrar Extension Club, all in Farrar and Perry County Extension Council.

Other survivors include one daughter, Linda (Rodney) Lorenz-Miesner of Farrar; three sons, Lowell (Bev) Fritsche of Farrar, Leslie (Kim) Fritsche of Frohna, Lynn (Julie) Fritsche of Farrar; four sisters and one brother, Norma Kaempfe of Perryville, Evelyn Hadler of Campbell Hill, IL, Irene Mueller of Farrar, Dean Detjen of Perryville, Darlene Mueller of Columbia; 11 grandchildren, Amy Camarillo, April Amberger, Corey Lorenz, Samantha Kutz, Thomas Fritsche, Garrett Fritsche, Clayton Fritsche, Brandon Fritsche, Taylor Fritsche, Ashley Fritsche, Austin Fritsche and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son-in-law, Ron Lorenz and one granddaughter, Sarah.

 Visitation was held at Young & Sons Funeral Home on Wednesday and will continue today from 6:30-8:30 am. She will then be taken to Salem Lutheran Church in Farrar for services at 10 a.m. with Rev. Roger Abernathy officiating. Burial in church cemetery.

Memorials preferred to Salem Lutheran Church.
