Women’s hockey pioneer Lynn Olson to receive Lester Patrick Trophy

She was working tirelessly to promote and grow girls’ and women’s hockey in Minnesota at a time when many parents and arena managers were openly hostile to the idea. Today, with more than a dozen college programs and more than 100 high school programs in the state, Olson is being honored by the National Hockey League for her work.
