Age 89, formerly from Solon Springs, passed away September 8, 2020 after a brief illness at Edgewood Senior Living, Blaine, Minn.Wanda was born in Rice Lake, Wisc. to Clinton and Iva (Weldon) Lenbom on April 18, 1931. She graduated in 1949 from Chetek High School. After attending two years at St. Olaf College, Northfield, Minn. she stayed home to help on the family farm after her father died unexpectedly. In 1952 she married Carl E. Dahlberg from Solon Springs, Wisc. They lived in Cloquet, Minn. until 1959 when they moved to Solon Springs where Carl worked for the family business, Dahlberg Light and Power Co. In addition to raising her three children, she was an active member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church. She sold Avon and was a member of numerous community organizations including Homemakers. After Carl retired in 1992, they spent winters in Apache Junction, Ariz. where she worked as the Activity Director at Weaver’s Needle Resort. In 2012, they moved to Arden Hills, Minn. and in 2016 moved to Valley City, No. Dak. After Carl’s death in 2018, she moved to Blaine, Minn. Wanda was preceded in death by her husband, parents, sisters Kathryn, Mary Ellen, and son-in-law Richard Ellsworth. Wanda is survived by her children, Steven (Chris) Dahlberg, Paul (Margaret) Dahlberg, Sandra (Craig Israel) Ellsworth; grandchildren; Kevin Dahlberg, Amanda (David) Wheeler, Nathan (Kat) Coda, Brian (Dillon Bogenreif) Dahlberg, Peter Dahlberg and Taylor Ellsworth; great-grandchildren Malin Wheeler, Calvin Coda and Berit Wheeler; and her brother James (Donna) Lenbom. She is also survived by cousins and many nieces and nephews. Because of the COVID-19 Pandemic, a memorial service and burial will be held when we can gather together safely. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, PO Box 227, Solon Springs, WI 54873 or to a charity of your choice.
