On Monday, March 15th, 2021, Timothy Armstrong, loving partner and father of three children, passed away at the age of 54. Tim was born on August 23rd, 1966 in Duluth, Minnesota to Karen Schluter and Wesley Armstrong. He graduated from Proctor High School in 1984, and worked as a plumber for many years, as well as a maintenance technician at Ecumen Lakeshore in Duluth. In 1987, he married Sheila Kay Armstrong. They raised a son, Branden, and two daughters, Crystal and Destiny. Tim was a man of few words. He was quiet and reserved, until you got him talking about outdoor adventures with his Jeep. Tim loved finding places to drive his Jeep offroad. He discovered many new places for off roading, camping, and hiking with his partner and best friend of 10 years, Colleen. He found joy in winter activities such as snowmobiling and wheeling, and he didn’t let the cold stop him from having fun. During warmer months, Tim especially loved the beach. He loved the warm sand, bonfires, and watching the tide as he walked along the shore. Tim’s beach companion was his beloved dog, Brandi. He could often be spotted walking Brandi at Barker’s Island, letting her run free as fast as she could along the shore, while he scanned for agates, sea glass, and other unique rocks to bring home. Tim loved coffee, sweets, and anything with coconut. Tim’s children, Branden, Crystal, and Destiny were the light of his life. Tim was preceded in death by his father, Wesley. He is survived by his mother, Karen, former spouse, Sheila, partner, Colleen, his three children, Branden, Crystal, and Destiny, his granddaughter, Layla, his four brothers, Dean, Jamey, Mark, and Joe, and his dog, Brandi. A visitation will be held on Saturday, March 27th, 2021 at The Cremation Society, 4100 Grand Avenue, from 12:00 to 2:00 pm. Masks are required to be worn at all times, and no outside food or beverage are allowed.
