Sun Hi Larson

Sun Hi Larson, 78, of Willmar, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 15, at her home in Willmar. Her memorial service will be 2 p.m. Monday, October 12, at Living Hope Evangelical Free Church in Willmar. Visitation one hour prior to her service. A private interment was held at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery. Arrangements are with Harvey Anderson Funeral Home. Sun Hi was born May 10, 1942, in Gimcheon, South Korea, the daughter of Choi In Chul and Park Bung Yong. She later moved to the United States and was naturalized as a citizen. On January 31, 1972, she married Milton Larson in Georgia. They moved to Willmar, Minnesota in 1976, where Sun Hi worked as a seamstress for R.E. Torgerson’s and C. Suzanne. Sun Hi Was a member of Living Hope Evangelical Free Church in Willmar, where she was active with the Joy Singers and the White Cross sewing group. She also volunteered at the New 2 You Thrift Store. Sun Hi was very artistic and was a gifted seamstress and oil painter. She is survived by her sister: Choi Su Hyun of South Korea; her brother: Choi Woo Hyun of South Korea; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Janis Leese of Montevideo, MN, Glen Larson of Pennock, MN, Gayle (and Linda) Larson of Willmar, MN, Avis Cline of Indianapolis, IN, Karen Larson of Clara City; Phyllis Rand of Maynard, MN; and Richard (and Carol) Larson of Pennock; many nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Milton in 2012; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Jake Leese, Evelyn (and John) Wood, LeRoy Larson, Ronald Rand, and Brian Cline.
