We are saddened to announce the passing of our Son and Brother, Patrick Ryan Wagner, 35, on December 1, 2021 in Duluth, MN. Patrick was born to Mari (Marlenga) and Verne Wagner on October 27, 1986. Patrick was a loving person who loved to laugh, play hard and was always available to give a hug or a shoulder to lean on. He graduated from East High School and enjoyed playing football, Rugby and school band. He loved music and promoted dance music events. In 2008, Patrick joined his dad on the Dr. Phil Show, participating in the Ultimate Weight Loss Race. They won most of their contests, most importantly solidified a father/son bond. In 2012, Patrick started an event security business called the Beefcake Squad. What started as a small business in Duluth grew to a large security company serving the Twin Cities and rock festivals throughout the Midwest. Patrick was a Master Mason, a business owner, a mentor to many and a friend to all. His personality and smile lit up a room. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Larry and Pat Marlenga; his paternal grandparents, Burton and Minnie Wagner; paternal step-grandmother, Helen Wagner. Patrick is survived by his mother and father; his loving big brother, Matthew Wagner; his long term girlfriend and partner, Shaunie Mackey. Patrick Wagner, from the moment you were born to your last day in this life, you have been a beautiful gift to your family, to your many friends and to all whom you met. You loved with all of your being. You are now at peace, sweet son. You will be deeply missed and forever remembered. A celebration of Patrick’s life is forthcoming, and will be announced.
