Milton Frederick Teufer, 94, of Bemidji, MN died Saturday, October 31, 2020 at Neilson Place in Bemidji.Funeral Services will be held at 11:00am, Friday, November 6, 2020 at the Evangelical Free Church in Bemidji, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at the Wildwood Cemetery in Plum Creek, MN under the direction of the Cease Family Funeral Home in Bemidji. He was born on April 10, 1926 in Plum Creek, MN the son of Martin and Ida Teufer. He attended Country School in Wildwood for four years, then started school in Northome, MN, and graduated in 1944. He entered the US Navy and served in the Pacific Theater from 1944 until he was Honorably Discharged in 1946. After leaving the service he took over the home farm. He farmed and logged until 1957, when he was appointed to the staff of the Koochiching County Land and Forestry Department, until his retirement in 1987. He was married to Patsy Walters in 1969, to this union three children were born. After retirement he continued to farm, log, and trap until 2013 when he sold the farm and moved to Bemidji. He was a member of the VFW and the American Legion. He is survived by his: Wife, Patsy Teufer, Children, Sandi (Eric) Thompson, Holli (Paul) Gould, Paul (Karen) Teufer, Grandchildren, Nathan Teufer, and Eliza ThompsonHe was preceded in death by his parents, brother Martin Elder Teufer, sister-in-law Marie Teufer, and nephew Gordon Teufer.
