Lisa (Ginkel) Vecchi

Lisa Vecchi was a caring wife, loving mother, loyal sister and treasured friend. She left this world unexpectedly on August 12, 2021 at the age of 62.She was born to Thomas and Jeanne Vecchi on February 26th 1959 in Hibbing, MN and was raised in Duluth, MN with her 4 brothers and 2 sisters. She graduated from Duluth East High School and then went to St. Cloud State University. After college she moved to the Twin Cities where she enjoyed a successful career at Northwest Airlines. On January 25, 1995 Steve and Lisa were overjoyed to welcome their beautiful daughter, Michaella, to the world. She was a true miracle for their family and a gift of hope. There was nothing she loved more than being a mother to Michaella. Lisa was a fun-loving, adventurous person who adored her family, friends, laughter, music, cooking, gardening, animals, interior design, bible study and travel. Most of all Lisa loved her Savior Jesus Christ, and today we rejoice in the fact that she is in glory with Him. On September 16, 2018 Lisa married the love of her life, Elby. They have spent the last three years living each day to the fullest and loving one another with all they had. Whether they were riding motorcycles, traveling or being by the water, they always kept each other smiling and laughing. Their life together was one big, beautiful adventure. Left behind to mourn her loss and celebrate her life is her loving husband Elby Ginkel, her adored daughter Michaella Ratliff, father Thomas A. Vecchi, brothers and sisters Denise Waack, Steve (Jan) Vecchi, Dawn (Ron) Dutton, Tom (Jeanne) Vecchi and John Vecchi. Step Sons Sam and Chase Ginkel. Steve Ratliff (father to Michaella) and family. Many nieces and nephews. Lisa is now united in heaven with her mother Jeanne Vecchi, brother Michael Vecchi, and grandparents John & Adele Vecchi and Clarence & Ethel Dugdale.
