John (Jack) Michael Tait, age 83 of Brackettville, TX, March 2nd, 2020, and 1st born son John Joseph Tait, age 61 of Fredericksburg, VA December 2nd, 2020. Jack, born July 20, 1936. November 22, 1958, married Ruth Ann Swenson at Saint Patrick’s in Kandiyohi. 60 years a farmer near Kandiyohi till the fall of 1999. RV travel to family on both coasts then settling at Fort Clark Springs in Brackettville TX.John born September 6, 1959. Spent 2 years as a gunsmith with Pat Laib of Spicer. 22 years in the Air Force, Okinawa, Alaska, Korea, Omaha, and the Pentagon. November 29, 1986, married Monica Kim, Soul Korea. Then 17 years establishing and partnering to run Blackwood Property Management in Fredericksburg VA. Jack like most farmers had a lifelong love of the land. Which inspired John to be a lifelong Outdoorsman. On one occasion John seized the engine on Jack’s 46 Willis, while checking his trapping lines. Those things need oil son. John later in life compensated in buying Jack a WW2 pistol he always wanted. Jacks other interest was Stock car racing, mostly before John and kids. Then as a spectator NASCAR, etc. Go Karting with Kids and Grandchildren. John took up diving in Okinawa, hunted and fished in Alaska, got Married in Korea, numerous camping and hunting high adventures and an African Safari. Both men had a gentle nature. Jack studied, read, and advised. John was just as much learned, but his adventurous side could be summed up in one of his favorite quotes from Blazing Saddles, “Badges We don’t need no stinking Badges”. Of course, Jack would be laughing. Both men were well liked and respected by those that knew them. If you noticed Jack’s 1st born John joined him 9 months to the day. Maybe Jack met John at that depot in the sky in a 46 Willis.They are survived by wife and mother and daughter and sister Ruth and Suzy of Brackettville, TX. 3 sons and brothers, Tom of Willmar, Mike of Kandiyohi, Paul of San Mateo, CA. and numerous extended family and friends. John by Wife Monica of Fredericksburg, VA. Two daughters Jessica and Jackie both Majors in the Air Force and Marines respectfully, from all over the world! And Jackie’s husband Kyle.
