James Dale “Jim” Dufseth, 72, of Tenstrike MN died on Tuesday, August 18, 2020 at the Sanford Hospital in Fargo, ND. Jim was born in Bemidji, MN on February 10, 1942, the son of Rolf and Mae (Madison) Dufseth. He was a 1966 graduate from the Blackduck High School in Blackduck, MN and later graduated from Dunwoody Technical College in 1972. On September 26, 1970 he was united in marriage to Carlene Long in Kelliher, MN. The couple lived in Tenstrike and would spend the winters in Tucson, AZ. Jim retired from electrical work in 2009 and had been a member of I.B.E.W. Local 294. During the Viet Nam War he proudly served as a helicopter mechanic. Jim enjoyed camping in Waskish, MN where he would often fish on Red Lake. He also would also travel to Canada to fish for lake trout. Jim was a gardener with an amazing ability to grow huge tomato plants. When wintering in Tucson, he would explore the desert on his ranger and panned for gold with his friends. Jim also liked grouse hunting and mushroom foraging. Hs survived by his wife Carlene; daughter Rhonda Dufseth of Chandler, AZ; two sons and daughters-in-law, Ernie (Emily) Dufseth of Pahoa, HI and Aaron (Allison) Dufseth of Tenstrike; seven grandchildren; and many other relatives. Jim was preceded in death by his parents and his grandson Warren Donald Dufseth. As per Jim’s request there will be no funeral. The family appreciates your thoughts and prayers.
