Frank J. Ward, of Sherwood, Oregon passed away at home on 1/19/21 in the company of his wife. He was the son of Leonard and Ernestine Ward, who passed before him in Superior, Wisconsin.Frank’s many hobbies included woodworking, computers, gardening, coin collecting, and travel. As a life-long Green Bay Packer fan (sporting a Green Bay helmet tattoo!) he saw his beloved Packers become the North Division Champs. Frank also volunteered as a mentor for boys in the Duluth School System. Advancing to Sargeant in the Canal Zone Police force, Frank forged long-lasting friendships and created wonderful memories. He also worked for the FBI Office of Federal Investigation, returning to Superior, WI, for Fingerhut. He retired in 2012 with Capital One Bank in Oregon. Frank is survived by his wife, Kathy, and her daughters Liz and Katie Prosnick, daughter Tricia (Mike) Lawrence, sister, Judy (Gordy) Mossberger, brother Mike (Nancy) Ward, grandchildren Ashley, Taylor, Austin, Josh and Lilly, nieces, nephews, cousins, many in-laws and his beloved canine pal, Lucy. Arrangements are being handled by Neptune Society, Portland, Oregon. Due to Covid restrictions, a celebration of Frank’s life will be held at a later date in Superior, WI. His kind and gentle spirit will be greatly missed.
