Eileen Nelson of East Grand Forks lived by the words, “You’re only a stranger once.” A commitment to hospitality and customer service led her to work at Mike’s Pizza, the Bronze Boot, Darcy’s Café, and the EGF Library. Eileen lived in EGF for 45 years, where she was at her best saving recipes, newspaper articles, and pieces of whimsy that she could share with her friends and family. Eileen was born on December 4, 1950 in White Plains, NY and passed away on July 28, 2020 in Fargo, ND, at age 69. Eileen is survived by two daughters, Kimberlee Nelson of Bemidji and Brandee Nelson of Phoenix, AZ; 5 grandchildren (Jake, Brock, Billy, Katie and Justin); and two great-grandchildren (Reagan and Lorenzo); two sisters, Jennye Croft (Tom Oliva) of Farmington, MN and Amy Croft Radeck (Jim) of Elk Grove Village, IL; nieces and nephews.
